WHAT VETERANS SAY ABOUT WARRIOR DOWN – NO VET LEFT BEHIND
Warrior Down is much more then a support group. There is a bond here that I didn’t find anywhere else I went. Also, I met other vets who traveled this road before me…I’m not the first.!

My thing is that I like giving back, once a Marine, always a Marine. When I found that I could get involved and advocate for veterans issues and help other vets, I found my home. I enjoyed my service to my country and my service doesn’t have to stop after my separation from the Corp. When the New Jersey Legislature held hearings on PTSD and Veterans Treatment Courts, we were all over that. I never saw myself testifying before a legislative committee. It was another first and because of Warrior Down, it won’t be the last.

I never had a problem with drugs or alcohol, but I was diagnosed with PTSD. That was my demon and anger came from it. I didn’t know I had PTSD and I didn’t know how to deal with it. I was discharged from the service, with a less then honorable. I served in the service of my country for three tours and now I have no access to health benefits. Warrior Down introduced me to advocates who can help.
